chrisssj2 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 (edited) Would an IDE or Sata be better? I have 4 ports of SerialATA 1.5Gb/s and 2 ATA133 IDE ports on my mainboard. Or even an external USB drive. Which will prove to be the best/stabel for burning xbox 360 backups? Thanks. Edited August 17, 2010 by chrisssj2
Cynthia Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 The interface shouldn't make any difference. It's the quality of the burner that is of vital interest/impact.
chrisssj2 Posted August 19, 2010 Author Posted August 19, 2010 I see thanks! Which dual layer would u recommend on this site for xbox 360 besides the obvious verbatims? http://www.nierle.com/en/article_category/48/DVD_Double-Dual_Layer.html For example something like these, DVD+R DL 8,5 GB Maxell 8x Speed Double Layer 25 pcs EUR 15.69 Mediacode: RITEK S04 DVD+R DL 8,5 GB Datawrite 8x Speed white fullprintable Double Layer in Cakebox 25 pcs EUR 10.49 Mediacode: RICOHJPND01 The DVD+R DL 8,5 GB Verbatim 8x Speed Double Layer fullprintable in Cakebox 25-pack is EUR 29.49 is obviously the best quality choice. But I want to try some cheaper ones aswell just because they are cheaper my xbox 360 drive should be able to read them right? I dont care much for longetivity for the disc as i usually play games and never touch em again largely. I suppose the cheaper ones also have a larger rate at which they fail at burning? But I don't think it will cause like many fails. So my only point is will the xbox 360 be able to read the cheaper media?
Cynthia Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 You can get those discs a bit cheaper €25,79 here. http://www.sweburn.com/product.php?productid=29&cat=5&page=1 Generally I would say that the Mediacode: RICOHJPND01 is easier to burn than the RITEK S04. But the result vary very much between drivers, so to recommend one brand is difficult. Only way to know is to try.
