This is a problem identified as a result of installing a new version of Powerdvd. Upon mounting .iso images via daemon and built with a source folder of the bluray file format, new versions of Powerdvd and totalmedia player read the disc as being unplayable.

The Bluray file systems were created using tsmuxerGui. Upon mounting the file system folder created by tsmuxerGui via the totalmedia player's mount HDD files feature, the playback is fine. Daemon tools mounts and plays back other .iso blurays of similar creation flawlessly. Thus the issue is not with the generation of the bluray file format or the mounting of the .iso.

The issue is with certain builds from Imgburn. I've determined it's based on the file size of the bluray file system I'm using as the source of the build.

I build .iso images for individual episodes of TV shows, with everything but main audio and video stripped out, which results in a muxed bluray file system of ~7-8GB.

When using ImgBurn to build these bluray file system into a .iso, the resulting .iso is created as a DVD-ROM instead of a BD-R. Apparently media players are now crosschecking the type of .iso with the file system and spitting them back as unplayable. Anything under ~9GB is made as a DVD-ROM, anything larger is a BD-R. I looked for a configuration option to force BD-R, but could not find one.

See posts below for log and subsequent "read" information from the mounted .iso.

I just realized it might be daemon that's doing the file size check on how to represent the iso to windows. Any way to check the .iso info without mounting?

ImgBurn normally outputs and MDS file too, try mounting that.

I can't make the drive mount in BD fashion but I can make it mount like a DVD-R which seems (seemed) to do the trick.
