.avi's burned with imgburn only playing 3-5 secs

Hi all, this is my first time to post here. I have been using imgburn for about 2years now, and I've just encountered my first problem

I mainly use imgburn to burn .avi's to disc, and play them on my generic €20 play everthing dvd player. Usually this works fine, but the last couple of discs I've burned will only play back the first -5 seconds. I checked all the setting on the player itself, including parental control, and I also played back previously burned discs, which worked fine.

The player is showing that there is an hour and a half in the file, and the disc itself, when you look at the bottom, has more than 3 secs burned on it.

I'm using Philips dvd+r, but havent had a problem with them before

So, have i inadvertantly changed a setting on imgburn?

Any help would really be appreciated

*edit* sorry, the log

It was a good burn and verify, which means the disc should be good, so either your player isn't capable of reading that burned disc or your .avi file isn't compatible with your player. Try with DVD-R media if you can.

Cheers mmalves, I thought the burn was good all right. After looking into some more, it seem the most likely problem is with the codecs used, ie my player doesnt recognise them. Thks for the reply
