No Seek Complete Error

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hey guys, I just bought a new Lite-On iHAS124 Y DVD Burner to complement my BD Burner and tried to burn a movie and it errored out at about 57%. Something about "No Seek Complete". I guess it could be a problem with the media I'm using, which is Sony, MID Sony-D21-00. I basically use the Sonys for non-important stuff and my Verbatims for important so I guess this isn't really that big of a deal, just want to know if you guys had seen it before and you had a quick answer. Oh yeah also, I guess it could be because I flashed a modded firmware from CDFreaks so maybe I should flash back to a stock one and give it another try. Thanks a bunch. Logs are attached.

I 14:52:06 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: SONY-D21-00) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x, 16x, 18x)

I 14:52:06 Write Speed: MAX

Try a lower speed instead of default MAX (18x)

Well it probably never got above 10 or 11x but yeah I'll try setting it lower.

It would still be spinning at a speed which would enable it to reach 18x by the end... and that could be where the problem lies.
