silkthinker Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Hi all. I'm a loooooong time user and since I never had problems before I had not signed up to the forums, bot now... this is another story. I just purchased the HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NS50 SATA drive. It's working pretty well with every other software, but when I fire up ImgBurn and then click in "Write files/folders to disc", ImgBurn briefly shows it selected in the Destination box before closing unexpectedly. Error log shows nothing but the very last burn I made with my previous drive (another LG, btw, but this one is IDE). I noticed that the HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50 (22X) is already working, so hopefully the 24X is not far. Any suggestions? I already went into my PC's bios but I could not find a propper way to setup the drive, however it is being recognized correctly by Windows. I use not other burning software apart from ImgBurn, so any suggestions for testing are more than welcome. Thank you very much.
silkthinker Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 Apparently, it's working now. I dloaded the latest version, which is what I should have done after installing the drive.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 There was never any problem with it not being supported. All new drives are supported automatically as the command set they use is generic.
