zgaryep Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I burned three CD's last week with no problems. I tried this week and the program appears to work...time passes, but no burning occurs. I open ImgBurn, click Mode and select read, wait for the program to detect the CD then I click the icon and wait. Nothing happens.
spinningwheel Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Nothing is going to happen here unless you read the pink bit at the top and post a copy of your log.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Your topic title and post text contradict each other. If you're having trouble with 'Read' mode then you don't have problems burning something, you have problems reading something. Giving an accurate description of the problem can be the difference between getting an answer in 1 post and getting one after 10 posts.

zgaryep Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 Thank you very much for responding to my problem and as you could tell from my posting I am a novice at using ImgBurn. I do indeed have a problem with Reading a CD now that I did not have the last time I used this great product. I start ImgBurn, click Mode and change to Read Mode then wait for the Icons to change color then click to begin the Read process. The process looks normal except the program never actually reads the CD. Can you give me a clue about the getting ImgBurn to run properly. I was able to use Windows Media Player to get a copy of my CD, but ImgBurn is so much simpler I really want to get it working again. By the way, I uninstalled ImgBurn and reinstalled it, but that did not help. I 09:21:34 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 I bet the message in the status bar within the main window (it's the bar down the bottom) said something like 'Analysing Tracks...' yeah? If so, you'll need to wait for the next version of ImgBurn - it's a known issue with 2.5.1.0.

Thank you very much for the information.
