El Jefe Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Hi guys! I am having a weird issue with burning DVDs with ImgBurn. When using the standard Microsoft SPTI driver I get an "Invalid Address For Write" error. First I thought it was an ImgBurn bug of some kind, but then I tried with other programs and I get similar errors (PowerISO cannot close the session for example). Then I went back to ImgBurn and I tried changing the I/O driver. I installed Elby's driver and it worked from the first time. I've been struggling with this problem for a while, I am really frustrated. I searched around the forums, and though I found similar problems, I couldn't find a solution to my particular problem. Any help would be deeply appreciated! Thanks! ImgBurn.log
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 The first error is the real one, not the one that shows up from a retry. As such, this is the important one. W 16:09:50 Failed to Write Sectors 560928 - 560959 - Reason: Write Error Your drive failed to burn to the disc, that's all. Don't burn at 'MAX' speed and you won't have so many failures. 8x normally produces the best burns.
