Popsicle Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 My first post so be gentle folks - I have been using ImgBurn successfully for a couple of months. The last 2 times however, after a "successful" burn the DVD plays perfectly but without sound. Both unsuccessful times I was burning from a Video TS folder. Can anyone please advise me how to correct this error. Thanks in anticipation
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 The problem is with your source files/playback device. Burning (i.e. ImgBurn) has nothing to do with it.
Popsicle Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 Thanks for the prompt response - I think you may be correct because I tried burning the same file with another prog and got the same results. What does puzzle me though is that I have tried the burn with 2 DVD writers, one internal, one external with the same unfortunate results. But they both replay other DVDs with no problems in sound or vision . Any thoughts or advice on what could be the problem.
Cynthia Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 What program before ImgBurn made it end up in a I was burning from a Video TS folder I would check the settings in that program.
Popsicle Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 What program before ImgBurn made it end up in a I was burning from a Video TS folder I would check the settings in that program. The Vob files in the TS folder also pay back in full sound - so why they don't after burning is baffling me
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Are you playing the disc on the same device you tried the raw VOB files on? Playing a raw VOB file is not the same as playing it properly - where the info in the IFO is then taken into account. Is your normal playback device a PC or a standalone player? Try just hitting the 'Audio' button on your remote, maybe there's more than 1 track and the first one isn't supported by your device.
Popsicle Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 Yes to the first question - on both the DVD writer players I have on my PC I've been playing the VOB and other DVd's on my PC which is where I normally play my DVD's
