KyleKoenig Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I have burnt numerous DVD's and recently the burner shows a Medium Not Present sign and it won't let me copy. I recently ran out of 8x DVD+r , that worked, and I have a pack of 16x DVD-r , doent work, that i hadnt ever used, is this my problem? I also baught a pack of 8x dvd+r ones but I still get the Medium Not Present. Please HELP, its very frustrating.
cornholio7 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 try updating your firmware to the latest if you haven't tried that already. does your drive support -r discs? can you post a log with one of the +r discs in the drive please

Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 If you're sure the correct drive is selected in the box and that you're putting supported media in to it, keep an eye on exactly what the status bar says having just inserted the disc. If is says 'in progress of becoming ready' and then changes to 'medium not present' again it means the drive can't initialise the disc or some 3rd party drive is messing up communications between it and ImgBurn. If that's the case you'll need to look at clearing out your filter drivers and updating all of you software related to optical drives.
