LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 It's where your drive/drivers return invalid 'sense area' data. There 'sense area' is where the info related to errors gets put. It's supposed to be in a specific format - which you can read about in the MMC/SBC/SPC (one of those!) specifications from www.t10.org if you so wish. Any idea what chipset your motherboard uses? What do you have in your filter drivers list? (copy it from the feature in ImgBurn's Tools menu)

mmalves Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Try installing this driver and this driver (one of them might say you don't have the correct hardware but that's not a problem). Those are the latest versions of the VIA storage drivers and hopefully should fix the problem you're having.
kaenshine Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 hey. I've done that and.. same problem. Does it mean it wants me to write at 4x? Cause I can do that. Will that work? I mean this: W 18:37:42 Write Speed Miscompare! - Wanted: 3,324 KB/s (2.4x), Got: 5,540 KB/s (4x)
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 I 18:37:39 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x) It means that 2.4x isn't a supported speed (which we can confirm by looking at the above) and the drive is therefore going to use 4x. If you set the write speed to 4x, you won't get that information message in the log.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Have you tried 6x and 8x? If you have, yeah, get another drive.
kaenshine Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 any brand you'd recommend? main use - x360 backups.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 An Optiarc 7260 / 7261 should do the trick.
