HandelWithCare Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Hi all, New to Image Burn. I am looking for an image maker that will crate an .iso from a bootable USB drive. I have several sets of back ups and I use a Linux USB Flash drive to boot from for the restore. I wanted to make an image of the current USB boot so that I can make a new copy if this one goes belly up. I can always build another boot USB, it would just be easier to create it from a file. Can ImgBurn do that? Thanks Handel
mmalves Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 USB booting works like floppy/hard drive booting, and ImgBurn is for optical discs. You'll have to use an HDD cloning/ghosting software for backing up your bootable USB drive.
