LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 It looks to me like your drivers are messing things up.... The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. ... that is not an error from your drive, it's an error from the OS. Get the latest chipset/raid drivers for your motherboard. If it's an Intel board, install the latest Intel Matrix drivers from the Intel website. Oh and because you're buying non Verbatim DL discs, don't assume you're getting the same dye/MID discs just because you got the same brand name. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
EliteMind Posted September 17, 2010 Author Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) hey, thanks for the swift responce time! i will try to do this driver update im on the website now. i havent done a driver update like this in years.... since i had my amd board. ill give it a go! EliteMind Posted September 17, 2010 Author Posted September 17, 2010 i am using a intel core 2 Quad 2.33 GHZ i am runnig the intel driver update utility right now
EliteMind Posted September 17, 2010 Author Posted September 17, 2010 hey is this what i need to download? http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18272&lang=eng
EliteMind Posted September 17, 2010 Author Posted September 17, 2010 i forgot to mention i am using memorex double layer dvd's DVD+R, the kind you recomend i cant seem to find them but i have been using these disks for years and there great.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Oops, my bad, it's the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/detail_desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=15251 You want the 'STOR_allOS_9.6.0.1014_PV.exe' one. Memorex are just a brand name, they switch the dye all the time - meaning you never know what you're buying. (and they're all junk anyway compared to Verbatim) One week you could get the Ricoh dye, the next it could be Ritek. Currently you've got the MBI one. I'm sure you should be able to get Verbatims online somewhere.
