To be honest, I have no idea what that means or why it would be coming up.

The API function (PTRobot_GetRobotInfo) is returning an error and that's the return code (PTROBOT_MULTDRIVES = 516 = 'Multiple Drives Error').

One thing I did just read on their website...

http://www.primera.com/developer/supportdeveloper.html

For two-drive units the PTCalibration utility must be run first before launching PTBurn Service. See the Utilities section below.

The same may be true for ImgBurn. I guess the people that tested it only had single drive machines :)

So download that PTCalibration utility, run it and then try again.

If it works, let me know and I'll make ImgBurn tell the user to the do the same thing if that specific error is returned by that function.

p.s. I've updated the DLLs in the guide to v1.4.4.0

EDIT: Oops, my error logging code was a bit wrong. It's actually failing on the 'PTRobot_EnumDrives' function. (I've corrected it now)

I'd really appreciate it if you could show me what the PTCalibration tool looks like once it's loaded - by means of screenshots etc. It won't load unless you have a duplicator - and I don't.

I may also need you to figure out where it writes the registry stuff so I can then read from it in ImgBurn (if the API doesn't handle that itself). That should be pretty simple with 'Process Monitor'.

Thanks for responding so quickly, i have downloaded and ran primera's calibration tool, still doesn't work, i noticed you've reposted with updates to the guide, i downloaded the PTRobot_1.4.4.0_DLLs, placed them in the imgburn program folder and the exact same error message:

Ah, 'Set Recorder Positions' is the one I'm interested in.

I assume the drop down boxes just have something like 'Not in Publisher', 'Top' and 'Bottom' in them as options?

When you configure that stuff and click the 'Set' button I think it writes the info to a registry key somewhere (or a file).

Ok thanks for the info.

I may just have to make up a similar sort of GUI to let the user pick which is top and which is bottom.

I'll knock something up tomorrow and then perhaps you can test it for me?

BTW, ImgBurn will only work with 1 of the drives at a time, you know that yeah?

If you run 2 instances of ImgBurn, the unit might throw a fit if both try to use the robot at the same time.

sure, i thank you for everything, if you lived closer i'd loan you the machine but any how...look for your post tomorrow!

on a regular basis i burn using both drives with two different sessions of imgburn running, thanks again, looking for your repost!

If it was going to work on another computer I wouldn't have had to write a bunch more code to fix the problem ;)

Sorry but your 'online' times and my 'online' times don't overlap very well.

i.e. it was 1:30 AM here in the UK when you replied saying your forum email address is fine.

I will send you the file at some point today.

i kind of figured trying another computer wouldn't work but i wanted to exhaust all possibilities on my end, i am not as technically inclined as some but more than eager to learn than others lol!
