Error burning DVD+R DL with matshita uj-850s 1.22 burner

I got an error "Failed to Write Sectors 1504 - 1535 - Reason: Peripheral Device Write Fault" when I was burning a DVD+R DL with my matshita uj-850s 1.22 burner, I've set the layer break to "1913760". Does somebody know why it fails?

1x isn't a supported write speed so you're burning at 2.4x.

 

Try with 4x.

 

Slimline drives are rubbish in general and Matshita ones are the worst.

 

If it can't burn MKM-003-00 you could try MKM-001-00 (2.4x speed verbatims).

 

You could try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc.

 

If all else fails, buy a new external 'normal size' burner.
