adem0x Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 I like ImgBurn a lot, and I'd like to thank the developer for such a useful utility. I, however, haven't found a way of extracting a boot image directly from ISO without first burning that ISO to a DVD. I need this (boot image) in order to create an EFI-compatible boot-DVD [to avoid that wretched "Select CD-ROM Boot Type :" message I get during installing Win7 on a Mac hardware. For more details see here]. Is there way to extract a boot image directly from ISO using ImgBurn?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Nope. Mount the ISO and extract from the virtual drive. Or just use IsoBuster. In any case, you shouldn't need it for Vista / Win 7 discs, you can point it at the etfsboot.com file as per my guide. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=11194
