sparafucille Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Greetings OS: Windows XP+SP3 ImgBurn: 2.5.2 Trying to fight with cutting of long file names I did the following: 1) read the guide (The_ImgBurn_Functions) - it was not much of a help 2) read The ImgBurn Settings - found few hints 3) read The ImgBurn Build Mode - again few hints 4) following the hints, in Build Mode, right box options, changed to ISO9660+Joliet+UDF and in the same right box, advanced, restrictions, ISO9660, I put folder/file length on level x, and checked "allow more than 225 chars in path" and in restrictions, Joliet, again I changed to level x questions: is there anything else I should do to allow lengthy file names? does this right box has an effect if I'm not in Build Mode? If not, where do I find it in the settings? thanks Sparafucille
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 If you're not in Build mode, no those settings don't do anything. There are no settings like those for other modes because they simply don't apply.
sparafucille Posted September 27, 2010 Author Posted September 27, 2010 thanks I also deleted sptd.sys due to imgburn warning. and I still have two problems: 1) where do I set imgburn to open in build mode? it always opens in EZ-mode picker (2.5.2) 2) I still have failures in burning dvd+r dl. Should I lower speed to x4?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 1. Is it vital that it always opens in Build mode? Do you never foresee yourself wanting to use one of the other modes when you load the program? The Ez-Mode Picker screen is just a quick way to jump into the different modes (Read, Write, Build, Verify etc) Clicking the big buttons does exactly the same thing as clicking the 'Mode' menu at the top and then selecting from the list. 2. I don't know and won't know until you read the pink box up the top

LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Build mode creates images from files/folders. If you already have an image then you burn it in Write mode. Long/short filenames don't come into it. The emoticon was a hint to say 'post the log'. Make sure you include a copy of the program's log in your post. No log =
