curious2010
I created an iso image using imgburn from dvd folders on my hard disk with the intention of sending that .iso to my friend who doesn't use imgburn. I found a .mds file along with the .iso. I could mount the .iso file in magic disc,so the question is ,is this mds file not necessary for burning the iso? If someone uses another image burning software can this iso be used without the .mds file?
Cynthia
It holds the layer break, so yes it's nice to have it for the one who is going to burn the image to a DL disc. If you use another burning program, yes it's possible to burn the image without the .mds file. (If not the whole image file is splitted into pieces due to a non NTFS formatted hard disk).
