DrPeps Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Hi! Many old games (for example: Blood, Redneck Rampage, Quake 2 and so on) have some audio tracks with music on their CD. I don't know exactly how such CD is called properly (maybe "mixed-mode CD"?), but when inserting in hardware CD-player such CD will be played as common Audio-CD. I tried to burn .NRG-image of such CD with ImgBurn, but audio tracks do not appear on burned CD . I was told that it is a bug (or feature?) with ImgBurn: this program is not be able to burn "mixed-mode" .NRG correctly. Is it truth or not? Thanks for answering...
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 You can't burn CD NRG's with ImgBurn really. The NRG specs are closed/private and ImgBurn only makes a rough attempt at burning them - it'll treat it as a single session/track image. Burn with the program you're meant to use for NRG files (i.e. Nero) or Mount the NRG in DAEMON Tools and use ImgBurn's Read mode to make a more universally supported BIN/CUE image.
