This might not be the right place for this topic but I'm almost certain it has to do with my errors while trying to burn. In Device Manager>Storage Controllers>ACAC8VOM IDE Controller there was a yellow and black symbol saying the the drive may have been corrupted and something about (code39). I searched up and down to fix it and found out that this has something to do with the cd/dvd rom drive. For some people it didn't even let them see their dvd/cd drive in My Comp. I did System restore and I don't have that problem anymore. I believe that maybe this is what caused the burn process not to finalize or verify. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Just thought I'd let you know.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Your drive is producing bad burns on that media 'RITEK-S04-66'. Go back to the Verbatim discs. If you still have issues with those too and have tried cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc, get a new 'normal' size (i.e. non slimline) drive.

Thanks so much for you reply...I was just about to give up. I thought maybe it the burner itself gone bad but I burned a music CD with a Benq cd rom and a movie with Princo dvd-r. So since i'm using a laptop, and it only burned 2 dl discs correctly. Do you think the burner just sucks and if I should replace it...what external dl dvd burner would you recommend? I saw this burner and although there's not many review one customer spoke specifically about how great it was for burning DL+DVD's.The price isn't bad either. Here's the link.
