"Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format"

I've seen others post about a similar problem, but haven't found a fix that will work for my situation. When I try to write an image to a blank disc (TDK DVD-R), I get the message, "E 16:28:18 Failed to Reserve Track! - Reason: Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format."

 

Same thing happens even in test mode.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Your old burner doesn't support the blanks you're using.

Update your burner's firmware to the latest version and try again. While you're at it, update ImgBurn too.
