skj Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 My DVD Burner/Reader is a LG GSA-H73N, and I have confirmed that I am using the latest firmware of C109 of 11/4/09. I have always been able to burn the regular DVD-R 4GB discs fine, however, I recently purchased DVD-R DL (dual layer) 4X blanks from Princo. When I run the burn in Test mode, it's fine. However, when I try to burn the actual disc, I get this error mesg: I/O Error: Device: [1:00] HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N C109 (F:) (ATA) ScsiStatus:0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition CDB: 2A 00 00 22 E1 60 00 00 20 00 Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 2285920 - 2285951 Sense Area: 70 00 50 00 00 00 00 0E 00 00 00 21 02 00 00 00 00 Interpretation: Invalid Address For Write I have attached a screen shot. The mode that I am using is "Write files/folders to disc", and it's in "Build" mode. Can anyone please assist?

I hope you are not going to burn DVD Video compliant material on those discs - you should get DVD +R DL media for that task. Your issue is that the burner doesn't like the media/brand of those discs. Princo was crap media when I used it in 2003/2004 and I would recommend you to get some decent ones. like Verbatim.
