Joice79 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Hi all, i've always used ImgBurn , today i have decided to upgrade from 2.5.1.0 to the last one 2.5.2.0. after the installation was end my system (Windows 7 professional X64) has started to run very very slow. I have rebooted the system but nothing is changed, i have cleanered and defragmented the windows registry but nothing..... if i try to run a simple application eg Firefox , this have need about 5 minutes for run. Uninstalling ImgBurn 2.5.2.0 all restart to work preprely.... there's a solution for my imgBurn problem? I don't want to stop to use this gret software. PS I'm sorry for my bad english . Thanks in advance
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 ImgBurn is just an exe, it can't possibly slow your machine down - particularly if it's not running! Take a look at task manager and see what's using up all the cpu time/% after you've rebooted. I think you'll find its your antivirus type program or similar.
Joice79 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 Is very strange my Nod32 run normally , is imgBurn 2.5.2.0 that make my system slowdown. Now , without ImgBurn, my system work like a charm and is very fast :S. With ImgBurn 2.5.1.0 work like a charm too.... :S
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Yeah but like I said, ImgBurn is just an exe. There are no drivers etc. If you don't physically run it yourself, nothing about 'ImgBurn' is running and therefore there's no chance of it causing a system slowdown.
Joice79 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 there's some incompatibility problems (i think) with this last imgBurn version and some installed softwares in my system :S , another example can be that imgburn have need about 5 minutes for run and about 5 minutes for close (clicking the red "X"). The tasks manager maded with and without imgBurn 2.5.2.0 installed are identical..... Very sad for this situation. Thanks for the help.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Do you have any other scanning type programs installed besides Nod32? Is Nod32 the latest program version available and with the latest definitions?
