Doug_999 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 OK I have thrown away about 8 dvd's and not sure what is going on. Looks like I using new media but after research I don't think that problem. I have checked that I have min. speed set properly (disk and device to 4x) and that book type is correct. Wii Reads previous back-ups fine but anything new is a no go from either of my two burning drives. Any hints at what I am doing wrong? ianymaty Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Try again after installing the new firmware TN03 http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GH22NS50/files.html Try with all supported speeds, your drive may produce a better job at higher speeds rather than force it to slow down. A slow speed is fairytale these days.
Doug_999 Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 Installed and re-ran at 4x 8x and 16x - no luck - Cant figure out the issue. Any other ideas? Is it the media? Any recommendations?
ianymaty Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are always the recommended media, but not always that recommandation is followed by users, from various reasons. Those media are recommended by their constant quality!
