I am using DVD-R Lightscribe Verbatim discs. My DVD drive is Optiarc DVD RW AD-7191A. I have updated my drivers to the latest version (1.05).

 

When I try to burn an ISO onto my discs, I get an error - Disc not empty. The green arrow is not clickable so I can't proceed with burning the image. Could someone please help? Thanks

copy + paste the disc info from the box on the right when you're in Write mode.

Your drive doesn't seem to like the discs you're using there... get some others.

 

Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc too.

Hi, the discs are fine as they are read and Windows 7 gives a popup asking how I want to setup the new blank disc

Ok, so what would you like me to say?

 

In that log, your drive is erroring out on all of the commands and saying 'Incompatible Medium Installed'.

 

You've got it there in writing, I'm not making it up.

 

Maybe the message changes if you eject and reinsert the disc, I don't know.

With the program in Write mode and F8 debug mode enabled, keep ejecting and reinserting the disc - let it finish inialising so it displays the disc info in the box on the right.

 

If it just reports the same thing time and time again, I very much doubt Windows is showing you that 'what would you like to do with the blank disc' box for genuine reasons.

 

When you get a minute, please use the 'Filter Driver Load Order' tool in the 'Tools' menu to copy + paste your filter driver info. If the return codes from your drive are being corrupted somewhere between the drive and the software, maybe something in there is causing the problem.
