I have an LG 4163 that supports bitsetting but doesn't remember it after a reboot.

Is there a setting in IB to parse the fact that I want to set booktype to DVD-ROM with my ISO image?

What do you mean "it doesn't remember after a reboot"? ImgBurn automatically booktypes +R media to DVD-ROM on LG burners, so as long as you didn't change the Auto Book Type in the settings, it should be working fine.
