Prez Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 So, the problem is in the topic name. As result - disk is not recognized in the PC DVD drives. Burning drive LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS40. Info from the ImgBurn Info panel: ASUS DRW-1814BL 1.14 (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R Disc Information: Status: Incomplete State of Last Session: Incomplete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Free Sectors: 131 296 Free Space: 268 894 208 bytes Free Time: 29:12:46 (MM:SS:FF) Next Writable Address: 2163808 Supported Write Speeds: 4x; 8x; 10x; 12x; 16x; 18x Physical Format Information (ADIP): Disc ID: MBIPG101-R05-01 Book Type: DVD+R Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 1 Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP) Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196 608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 2 491 711 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 0 Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): Disc ID: MBIPG101-R05-01 Book Type: DVD+R Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 1 Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP) Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196 608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 2 491 711 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 0 Performance (Write Speed): Descriptor 1... -> B0: 0x00; B1: 0x00; B2: 0x00; B3: 0x00 -> EL: 2295103 (0x0023053F) -> RS: 11 080 KB/s (8x) - WS: 5 540 KB/s (4x) Descriptor 2... -> B0: 0x00; B1: 0x00; B2: 0x00; B3: 0x00 -> EL: 2295103 (0x0023053F) -> RS: 11 080 KB/s (8x) - WS: 11 080 KB/s (8x) Descriptor 3... -> B0: 0x00; B1: 0x00; B2: 0x00; B3: 0x00 -> EL: 2295103 (0x0023053F) -> RS: 11 080 KB/s (8x) - WS: 13 850 KB/s (10x) Descriptor 4... -> B0: 0x00; B1: 0x00; B2: 0x00; B3: 0x00 -> EL: 2295103 (0x0023053F) -> RS: 11 080 KB/s (8x) - WS: 16 620 KB/s (12x) Descriptor 5... -> B0: 0x00; B1: 0x00; B2: 0x00; B3: 0x00 -> EL: 2295103 (0x0023053F) -> RS: 11 080 KB/s (8x) - WS: 22 160 KB/s (16x) Descriptor 6... -> B0: 0x00; B1: 0x00; B2: 0x00; B3: 0x00 -> EL: 2295103 (0x0023053F) -> RS: 11 080 KB/s (8x) - WS: 24 930 KB/s (18x) Unfortunately, right now I have no a burning log (only the disk) and I have no an access to burning PC (that is PC of my friend). In the IsoBuster this disk recognized and reading without any problem (there are no any read errors) but the standard Windows file managers (Explorer, Total commander) reports "No disk".
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 As ImgBurn *always* closes and finalises discs, I can only assume the drive failed to perform that command. This is of course out of ImgBurn's hands.
Prez Posted November 16, 2010 Author Posted November 16, 2010 Thank's. I supposed so. I already downloaded a last new firmware from LG. Maybe it will help. And DVD-R solved a problem also.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I'm sure using some decent DVD+R would have worked too - Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.
Prez Posted November 16, 2010 Author Posted November 16, 2010 It's fun, but this DVD+R have a standard print of Verbatim on the top surface.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 True Verbatims discs (as I know them) would be using the 'MCC-003-00' (8x) or 'MCC-004-00' (16x) dye, not 'MBIPG101-R05-01'. Perhaps you (your friend) got some 'Value' ones or something.
