Jimboe Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) Hi, Ive suddenly got write error, tried 3 different isos always checked em with abg360 and checked the .dvd but still got write error on the same layer. This is the latest firmware for youre drive http://www.firmwarehq.com/Philips/DVDR1628P1/files.html I 16:36:25 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 2,4x; 4x; 6x; 8x) Why are you forcing to write at 1x on 8x rated media (2.4x being slowest speed ever available on +R media)? Remove any disc from the drive, update the firmware and try all speeds available. A lens cleaning disc in that old drive might help. Try to find 2.4x media (MKM-001-00)
