I am trying to burn an iso file to disk, this is to create a recovery disk for Microsoft vista. I have downloaded the iso image from neosmart.net so i know the image is ok. I open the iso in imgburn and select destination as E: Drive

all looks well expect after the burn is completed the disk show's as blank.

i have burned CD's on this laptop but that is it.

also... i had to uncheck the verify option as it kept giving an error message saying: "Verify Fail Layouts do not match"

logs are the same exept "verify log" has this at the end :

I 21:39:37 Average Write Rate: 4,405 KB/s (3.2x) - Maximum Write Rate: 4,995 KB/s (3.6x)

Unchecking a box for a feature that tells you about a problem doesn't make the problem go away!

It's like closing your eyes when your house is on fire and pretending everything is ok... it's not!

If your drive isn't burning the 'CMC MAG-M01-00' media you're using very well, buy some different discs.

Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden (Victor JVC) are the ones to go for.
