deepeejay Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Using IMG Burn v2.5.2.0 with win 7 with Intenso DVD-R 16X I can burn a regular ISO to disk in about 6 minutes at 16X max but verification seems to take nearly 3 times as long at around 3x rather than faster than the burn time with earlier versions. Is it my wet-ware memory that's playing tricks or is this a known characteristic of more up to date versions? deepeejay in coolish Extremadura
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 There's no difference between versions, the slowest thing is always reading the data from the disc - and of course it's impossible to read faster than the drive lets you. Most new drives burn quicker than they read, but you have a bigger problem if your drive is limiting you to 3x. Post a log of you burning and verifying a disc.
