Using IMG Burn v2.5.2.0 with win 7 with Intenso DVD-R 16X

I can burn a regular ISO to disk in about 6 minutes at 16X max but verification seems to take nearly 3 times as long at around 3x rather than faster than the burn time with earlier versions.

Is it my wet-ware memory that's playing tricks or is this a known characteristic of more up to date versions?

There's no difference between versions, the slowest thing is always reading the data from the disc - and of course it's impossible to read faster than the drive lets you.

Most new drives burn quicker than they read, but you have a bigger problem if your drive is limiting you to 3x.

Post a log of you burning and verifying a disc.
