I\O Error On ISO Burn to DVD

I tried to burn an ISO image to a DVD and right after closing disc at the end I got this error. Can someone interpret for me and offer solution? Actually after looking at the log I see it is a write-protecting issue? On the ISO or my DVD? It's a DVD-R and I have never used it before.

That log shows your drive failing quite frequently, both on MCC media and MXL stuff.

 

Try the YH14 firmware update here - http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/DH-16AYH/files.html

 

Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc.

 

If it still fails to burn / produce a working disc, get yourself a new drive.
