Write image to Blu Ray

Your guide for burning a Blu Ray disc uses a folder with BDMV and Certificate etc.

Now I use Encore CS4 and can create that folder without any problem but I can also create an ISO image.

What I was wondering and can't seem to find an answer for anywhere, is can I just use the ISO file for burning the image

to a Blu Ray disc or do I have use the folder option?

 

Is there any difference in the quality of the final product?

Since ImgBurn doesn't touch the source files/content, both methods will give you the same result.
