kevinwright2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 When attempting to upgrade the firmware on my pc I get the following error message " Valid ATAPI device can not be found F/W model is DVD+-RW GT10N" The PC DVD drive is Phillips DVD +-RW DVD 8631 Device Type DVD/CD-ROM drives. Any further help gratefully received. With Thanks
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Why would you even be attempting to load the GT10N firmware on a DVD 8631 drive? If you select that Philips drive within the program, just right click the drive selection box and click 'check for firmware updates'. Copy and paste everything from the log window and maybe we'll be able to help a bit more.

My apologies - I was applying a solution that you made earlier (to an issue that applied to my laptop. and which has worked perfectly!) to my pc - in the mistaken belief that the problem was common to both. I will check the pc later as suggested. Once again thank you for your help. I have now managed to burn a DVD using the pc without having to download further software/drivers. Thanks for your help.
