enero99 Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Hi, I try ImgBurn to get running under wine in Ubuntu for. Unfortunately, I get the following error message: DeviceIoControl (IOCTL_STORAGE_MCN_CONTROL) Failed! - Media change notification has NOT been disabled. And the program hangs. I have to kill the process. How can I fix it? Excuse my bad English, it is only a foreign language for me. Yours sincerely enero99
ianymaty Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 You can activate Disable Media Change Notification in ImgBurn settings by going to Tools/Settings/Device tab.

LOCOENG Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Try updating your firmware... http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1706-file_px-880sa_fw_1.13.exe.html
mmalves Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Also try using the ASPI interface (Tools -> Settings -> I/O tab).
enero99 Posted December 12, 2010 Author Posted December 12, 2010 Hi, many thanks for the tips. - I updated the firmware to version 1.1.3. - And I have set the mode at ASPI. Unfortunately, both without success. The bug is still there. Greetings enero99
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 If your system/drive won't process the command, I'm afraid there's little I can do about it. Maybe it's Wine, maybe it's the drive, maybe it's the disc... who knows. What version of Wine are you running? I understand 1.3.9 is the latest.
