I started getting this message after I burned some document files and pictures, then tried to burn a movie and have not had any success since. Try burning at 6x or 4x. You could also try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc, or even manually if you know how to do it. If none of that helps then you'll need to try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks, or with another burner (slimline burners are rubbish in general).
