A question about the Options Tab : Data Type?

Hi,

it's been a wee while since i've used imgburn and on the options tab i noticed the 'Data Type' option from which i can choose either MODE1/2048 or MODE2/FORM1/2352.

Can someone please explain for me what the difference is between these two 'data types' and for what particular purpose i would need to change it from one to the other?.
