kevdriver Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 Just picked these up on sale at Futureshop here.......... spindle of 100 for $ 29.00. MCC 03 RG 20. Would this be classified as good media ? Still not too sure how to take these graphs.
cornholio7 Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 what speed did you burn it at? your result is a bit biased because there is no jitter shown and this can reduce the qs considerably
kevdriver Posted July 15, 2006 Author Posted July 15, 2006 Thanks Corny, burn't at 8X. Will do another showing jitter and see what happens.
chewy Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 (edited) for an older burner and verbatim disks, that pif total of 80 is excellent gotta love the cdfreaks bargain basement course you can't trust pioneer scans Edited July 16, 2006 by chewy
kevdriver Posted July 16, 2006 Author Posted July 16, 2006 for an older burner and verbatim disks, that pif total of 80 is excellent gotta love the cdfreaks bargain basement course you can't trust pioneer scans These are the best media thats been up here in a while. Usually have to settle for MAXL G02. Theres never a steady supply of anything decent that you can just go and buy. Ty's are a once a year item up here. Just bought a Pioneer 111D, so will see how things turn out from that. 44$ cdn. couldn't pass it up.
chewy Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 (edited) that should be a very good match up, oily looks like you are ready to do some serious burning for that price on blanks, you might want to waste one or two on discovery mode? Edited July 16, 2006 by chewy
kevdriver Posted July 16, 2006 Author Posted July 16, 2006 Yea Chewy, bought 2- 100 spindles of these verbs. Been spending some time at a friends house watching her dog while she attends her Dads' funeral out of town. Once home on Sunday night I'll hook up the new burner and see how it does. If it is as dependable as my 108 I will be very happy. Also looking at a benq and a nec to round things off. Any sugestions on models is always welcome.
chewy Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 if you can find the benq 1655 on sale, I would go for that one. I got a good 1650, some others didn't seem to get as good a one? You should already have one of the best burners with the pioneer, now you just need a reliable scanner, the nec's would be a waste.
