Burned DVD will not play in player

Hi All,

 

I just signed up here. I picked up IMG Burn and DVDFlick from a tip on Youtube. They work great but I can not get the DVDs to play in my component DVD player(S) one is a Divx and one is not. But neither will accept the discs I burned. I will attach the last 2 logs from IMG Burn.

Yes, i am in Canada and I made sure it was set to NTSC.

Do your players give you a specific error message?

 

If so, what is it?

 

Do you know for sure they can read DVD+R discs? Do you have any other discs you could test with? Something decent like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden (Victor JVC).

Hey Lightning,

 

The error on the Divx player says "bad disc" the older player just says error. The discs I am using are Memorex DVD+R. Both these players will play this brand, I have played burned discs from other people on both machines but I can not seem to get MY computer to burn them so they are readable. I thought this would have been an easy thing, like burning music CD's.

 

Is there anything in the log I sent that would indicate a problem with the computers burner? The program that plays the DVDs on my PC is "InterVideo Win DVD" and "Windows Media PLayer" and both recognize the DVD as a dvd.

It burnt and verified fine both times, so no, there's nothing in the log that would indicate any sort of problem with anything.

 

Maybe the players just can't read those discs very well or something. Try buying some better ones (Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden / Victor JVC) and cleaning the players with a cleaning disc.
