how to burn a blu ray film

Hi i have a blu ray film in 1080p it is a mkv format.

 

I have a LG blu ray burner and verbatium discs 25GB

 

Now i have looked at the tut on how to use img burn to burn a blu ray film but my film format is in .mkv and img burn will not let me select it as a file to burn.

 

Do i need to convert this mkv file to a different file to be able to use img burn?
