brainiac Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Hi again. I've just upgraded to ver 2.5.4.0 but now I'm seeing this message: "Book Type Setting: DVD-ROM (Reason: Invalid Field in CDB)" Before I only see "Book Type Setting: DVD-ROM" Any setting I miss or can I continue burn without problem? Thank you. My drive is a LiteOn "iHAS324 Y" Optiarc model Firmware been upgraded to Liggy's firmware before. And I've chosen NEC inside booktype setting.
Cynthia Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 If you have the book type version flashed, you shouldn't need to deal with the "NEC inside booktype setting" and you should also have the setting "Auto Change Book Type" that is normally on by default.

Yes I see default "Auto Change Book Type" inside Settings. Thank you How about the Advanced "Configure Drive OEM" & "Drive ID"? Do I leave it blank, or should I enter my drive details for ver 2.5.4.0
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 You don't need to change anything. That extra bit of text on the right of where it says 'DVD-ROM' is new and is there to help us help people - it helps us explain why the booktype stuff may or may not be working.
