outtawack311 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 This is my first time using imgburn so I looked up some guides of how to make a dvd. I did what it said and when I put the dvd into a player it comes up as a data disk. It just shows folders on the TV and wont play. I looked in the log and saw it says Data, but I don't see what I did wrong. /****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.4.0 - Log ; Sunday, 09 January 2011, 16:45:18 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 16:18:18 ImgBurn Version 2.5.4.0 started! Cynthia Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I 16:22:55 Contents: 14 Files, 1 Folder What's the type of files you added in that folder? Do they look something like this?
Cynthia Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Are there any other files in the VIDEO_TS folder on the burned disc other than the ones that ends with .bup/.ifo/.vob?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 It looks like you've definitely done / got something wrong or it would say 'DVD Video' for content type rather than 'Data'. When in 'Build' mode, do you have 'Input' set to 'Standard' or 'Advanced' in the menu at the top?
outtawack311 Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 Are there any other files in the VIDEO_TS folder on the burned disc other than the ones that ends with .bup/.ifo/.vob? Yes there are. There is also a folder on the disc, which I didn't burn on there. Just tried it again and it did the same thing.

ianymaty Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Good to hear that you sorted out. Please tell us what it was, to help other users find in the same situation to know what not to do.

Please tell us what it was, to help other users find in the same situation to know what not to do. When burning it somehow another folder that was in a different file got on the disc. I just re-created the image I was burning and eventhough it was the same size as the last img, it didn't add those extra files.
