I am having a problem with some of the Blu-rays (BD-R - Verbatim/25GB) that I have burned. The video is absolutely perfect, but the audio will sporadically drop for a second and then return. Other than the audio drops, the BD-Rs are perfect. However, it's rather difficult to enjoy a movie when you constantly have the audio dropping out (i.e. I made a copy of The Princess and the Frog for my daughter and the audio would drop sporadically during the various musical numbers).

For what it's worth, I used AnyDVDHD to rip the movie, BD Rebuilder to compress it to fit onto a BD-R and then IMGBurn. Additionally, I tested the compressed version using TotalMedia Theatre in my attempts to blame BD Rebuilder and I did not have the audio drops when playing the same scenes.

What are you playing the BD-R in / on? Your PC or a standalone player?

Maybe it just can't read the disc very well.

If the disc burnt and verified ok, there's little more we can do.

I'm playing the BD-R (Verbatim) on a standalone player (JVC BD-C6500). To be frank, I didn't verify the disc after burning. Upon reading posts in this forum and other sources, it's my understanding that it will simply confirm that the disc burned. Does the verification process actually "help" burning a Blu-ray disc?

It will not help but it will confirm that the disc is readable, at least in the drive that burned it.

If you have that confirmation, than you need to look elsewhere. i.e. Playability of the source file/s or player reading compatibility with that media.

First of all, I need to correct my earlier message about my Blu-ray player - it's a Samsung BD-C6500. Also, the audio is not cutting out in the same section on the original Blu-ray disc.
