How do i span a large iso file over multiple CDs?

I have created an ISO image from a DVD about 2.7 GB in size and need to burn the image onto multiple CDs. Is this even possible, because my attempts at creating it have failed.

A disc image is exactly what it says. It's an image for a disc. It's not an image for multiple discs. You can't just make it span multiple smaller disc - or at least not if you want it to actually work.

 

That said, really it depends on what you want to be able to do with the split discs and what's in the DVD sized ISO.

 

You could split the file up, burn each bit to a different CD and reconstruct the DVD sized ISO at the other end.

 

Why can't you just burn it to a DVD or copy it to a USB stick?
