i keep having this problem power calibration error i have baught a new drive and everything that i have read so dont tell me it's the drive or the disc cuz it's not.... the only thing i havent done is the IMAPD thing but i cant find it on my comp i have windows 7 i looked in admin tools and services and i still cant find it...

yup here it is all drivers are up to date and i have good disc as well

The only consistently decent DL discs are the MKM-001-00 and MKM-003-00 dye ones. You don't have either of those.

 

Don't reuse failed discs. If the 'power calibration area' on the disc is full, it's not going to become less full by you trying again.

 

If the drive keeps returning that error, there's nothing I can do about it. It's purely an issue between your drive/firmware/media.

 

There's almost nothing on Google for the drive you've got. Personally I'd have got something else.

i have to dvd dl burner drives and both do that even when i use other disc as well

They both report the faulty value for an empty DVD +R DL disc?
