Buffer Problems

Buffer and buffer device fluctuations are causing very slow burns and I have seen that a possible problem is DMA settings for the device

I have Imgburn 2.42.0 and I can't see the DMA button

Where is it and what other solutions can I try

Oh yes one solution was uninstall IDE/ATA controller in Device manager Could that create problems

I have Windows XP
