Read VOB files on DVD for copying

I have a series of home movie clips [no copy protection obviously]stored as VOB files on a DVD [stamped CPDR47G-CDMWP02-114 4402 around the spindle hole].

The clips read & play quite OK using

  1.
  2. Power DVD on a Pentium 4 [Windows 2000]
  3. Windows Media Player on Win XP or Windows 7

When I try to copy the files, using windows explorer or Imgburn et al. I get a CRC error on reading the VOB.

Can you suggest a way to get these clips copied to a standard DVD so my parents can watch it on their [Hi-def] home TV/DVD player ?

Your version of ImgBurn is way out of date.

If you're just trying to copy a disc, use Read mode, not Build mode.

Read mode can retry when it hits a bad sector.

If you have access to any other drives/PCs, try reading the disc in those, they may do a better job.
