rogerdpack Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 sorry if these are reposts, but saw them here: http://alternativeto.net/software/imgburn/comments I really like that it's free, but I cant seem to drag/drop files into a compilation (have to click a bunch of buttons first), nor can I quick-erase a DVD+RW (I can only full erase, which takes ages. I guess my TTSCorp cheap drive is not supported?).
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 There's no problem with drag+drop. The only time it can be an issue is if you run it direct from the installer and have UAC enabled on Vista/7. Windows blocks you from doing drag+drop from a non-elevated app to an elevated app. Run it normally via the icon/shortcut and everything will be fine. By default (and therefore subject to how you configure the settings), you can only quick format a DVD+RW that has its 'Formatted' status set to 'Yes'. Otherwise ImgBurn will try and format it properly so the 'Formatted' status IS then set to 'Yes'.
mmalves Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Not to mention that you don't need to quick erase DVD+RW media: you can just overwrite it.
