tophawk Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Hello all The entry here (below) has absolutely no effect on performance I just wondered if I was doing something wrong? It only appeared when I installed a new writer having only ever used Pioneer before The write speed still comes out at around 8x (using Ritek GO5 8 speed flavour) If I have missed the answer elsewhere on the forum, I apologise, could someone kindly point me in the right direction? Cheers :--) ######################################################################################################### W 09:52:54 Write Speed Miscompare! - MODE SENSE: 11,080 KB/s (8x), GET PERFORMANCE: 8,310 KB/s (6x) I 09:52:54 Write Speed Successfully Set! - Effective: 8,310 KB/s (6x) ######################################################################################################### I 09:52:09 ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 started! Cynthia Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 There is a later firmware. http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1778-file_SH-S223C_SB06.exe.html
tophawk Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 Yep - that firmware link did the trick I just ran a DVDRW and it set the speed correctly Perhaps shows just how good ImgBurn is - that it simply does what it says on the can Thanks again Happy Days
