Ryan Paul Fialcowitz Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Firstly, I want to make ISO files of some DVDs that have both video content and content that can only be accessed on a computer but every program I have tried will only copy over the audio_ts & video_ts folders. Is there some way to make an exact copy with everything on the DVD and not just the audio/video folders? If not is there some other program that can do this? Secondly, when I mount a DVD ISO in Windows 7 it launches Windows Media Player and plays the DVD. In Windows XP it just opens a folder showing the audio/video folders on the DVD. Is there a way to get Windows XP to launch and play the DVD in Windows Media Player automatically? Lastly, I've been using DVD Decrypter to get the audio/video folders and then IMGBurn to make the ISO. In IMGBurn I've been selecting Create Image File From Files/Folders and selecting the audio/video folders on the DVD, is this the correct method? And is IMGBurn needed at all? Can DVD Decrypter make the ISO on it's own? - Ryan Paul Fialcowitz
ianymaty Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Keep in mind that ImgBurn can't copy protected discs. If the disc hasn't any form of protection against copy, making an image of it will contain exacltly what is on that disc that you can burn on another disc. To change how Windows behaves when mounting an iso, go to Start and search for "autoplay" an make the adjustments as you wish. This is ImgBurn forum and don't discuss about DVD Decrypter.
