Failed DVD image burn

I have a Dell XPS 1730 with a combo blue-ray player/DVD burner drive. I am having trouble burning an Iso to an imation DVD-RW 4x 4.7GB. the error it gives me leads to a "power calibration area error". The test phase seems to work just fine but once I switch over to writing, it fails almost imediatly. I have tried to write a simple file to a CD-R but that has the same problem as well. the drive plays DVDs and music just fine. I have searched for newer drivers and firmware, but from what I have seen out on othe forums is that Panasonic and Dell doesnt make any newer drivers or firmware other than what is on the drive and my laptop. I hope my drive isnt deffective. Below is the Imgburn output. Any ideas from anyone out there? Thanks.
