Hey,

I am trying to burn an Xbox360 ISO that extracted from it's RAR files successfully. Gears of War 2 if anyone wanted to know. Basically I notice the buffer go down, and then up, and then again down and up, nearing a certain percentile of completion, 56%. Once the burn is complete, the disc is useless, tried 4 burns all bad. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my DVD burner, Clearing as much space on my 80 GIG hard drive, (I have 30 gig Free now), and tonight will leave my defrag on (but I doubt it will make any difference). Here is my log, please anyone shed some light on my problem. Note, you will see I set it to 2.4x, but I get 4x instead, maybe my Burner doesn't support that speed. My DVD's are Vertabrims from Singapore, 8x DVD+DL.

Verify your burns.

Seeing a log where it has tried to verify the disc will help us diagnose your problem.

I 22:27:22 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-003-00) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x)

As you can see, 2.4x is NOT a supported speed. Supported speeds come from the drive/firmware/media combo and there is nothing ImgBurn can do to change or override them.

If the buffers go up and down a lot it would suggest your hdd is busy doing other things and it can't supply the program with enough data for a steady burning stream - which isn't exactly a lot seeing as how you're only burning at 4x.

Whatever you were doing when buffer recovery kicked in, stop doing it!
